September 16: Mr. Pete Rausch, local tree expert with the City of Little Rock will bring us an update on the new Rotary Centennial Grove of trees being planned for McArthur Park.

September 9:Ms Cathy Bacon from Camp Aldersgate will be here to promote the annual Fish Fry fundraiser being held on the 17th and to advise the latest on their camps & other programs.

September 2: Marcella Dalla Rosa, new superintendant of the Arkansas School for the Deaf will speak about their school and its work here in our state.

August 26: 1st Lt. Adam Head from the 3rd Army Infantry Support, 269th Battalion was on leave for a couple weeks from IRAQ and came to give us a first hand update on their work. It was very interesting to learn the differences between the Sunis & the Shiites and where some of the problems arise.

August 19:Teresa Elkins Caveness has her own marketing firm, but spoke to us on behalf of the Great Arkansas Cleanup '05 that will get underway this fall. Our Interact Clubs in District 6150 will be working on a project as well November 5th during World Interact Week.

August 12: Angie Chazelle from Stone Ward gave a great classification talk on her firm's work in advertising & public relations. She showed us how they work with clients to extract the message that is to be conveyed.

August 5: Our District 6150 GSE Team that recently traveled to Norway came and gave their 1st presentation to us. Thanks to Ed Linck, Rebecca Lambeth, and Erin Gibbs for getting up early for our program.

July 29: Fred Crimmarco's daughter gave a program on one of St. Vincents Hospital's care facilities.

July 22: District Governor Marilyn Hummelstein made her official visit to our club and presented this year's theme: Service Above Self. She was very helpful and supportive of our clubs projects and plans for the year.

July 8: Rick Vance was on hand from Sean Fister's Golf Academy to give us some pointers on the fundamentals of improving your golf game including the grip, swing, stance, and maintaining a good sense of humor.

July 1: Our program was from the Crime Lab.

June 24: Barbara Sullivan from the University of Phoenix was our program and spoke about their local college campus. This is a program that has campuses across the nation with over 200,000 students, mostly studying after business hours for their school work.

June 17: Tony Woodell from Heifer International was our speaker. This was a great program that has Rotary involved on an international basis with its support of Heifer International and its efforts to solve the world's hunger problems.

June 10: Mike Munnerlyn - Attorney At Law spoke to us about effective Estate Planning and ways to avoid probate costs. The Revocable Trust is one instrument that provides both privacy and faster resolution of estate issues.

June 3: Laura Hasket from "Make-A-Wish" Foundation was our guest speaker and explained this program for granting wishes to children that have life threatening medical conditions. An average wish costs about $5000, so they depend on the support of charitable donations to make their program work.

May 27:David Lambert visited from the Arkansas Highway & Transportation Dept. to advise on the current status of our highways and how those Orange Cones are finally disappearing!

Also, Sara Repetto - our Italian Exchange Student gave a nice farewell speech and Thank You to the club prior to leaving the next week for her home in Camogli, Italy.

May 20: Mike Howard from the Arkansas Geological Commission spoke to us about the impact of our natural resources here in Arkansas. Whether it was about the recent mudslides in Heber Springs to the earthquake tremors in the northeast - Mike had the answers. Yes - our state gem is the Diamond.

May 13: Our Group Study Exchange Team from Norway was our program. It is always special to meet a Rotarian from another country and some of their professionals to learn more about their culture. Later we provided transportation for them to visit local businesses here in Little Rock.

May 6: Travis Justice from the Arkansas Beef Council was on hand to explain their programs for the beef industry. Although it is 4th in Arkansas behind rice, chicken, etc. beef is still the largest agricultural product in the nation.

April 29: Mathew Adams from Pinnacle Records Management gave us a presentation about records and the proper disposal of them by shredding. Large businesses are served with a large mobile vehicle shredder that can do the job within minutes. Federal Law now requires proper handling of sensitive documents.

April 22: Our club moved its meeting downtown along with all the other 38 clubs for our District 6150 Conference Luncheon. Mr. David Lusty spoke to us for the keynote address from the International office.

April 15:De'Anne Shannon from RiverFest was on hand to get us excited about the upcoming Festival on Memorial Day Weekend and all the new music acts, food vendors, etc. They need even more volunteers than usual to make this event successful.

April 8:Bob Bolen spoke to us from Little Rock Neighborhoods - USA. It was an informative update about their efforts to revive older neighborhoods.

January 28: Jerry Adams from Axciom was on hand to update us on their corporate plans as one of our newest Little Rock based companies.
