We have several fundraising projects, including the annual Razorbacks Football Pool and the Cell Phone Recycle Program outlined in more detail below. There is also a silent auction at the annual ROTARY AT THE REP function in which we participate.
We will be evaluating other means of raising funds in the future to enable even more community service projects and activities.
Used CELL PHONES Needed!
Little Rock Metro Rotary is still collecting used, digital cell phones for recycle as a Fundraiser! (If you have older analog units, we will accept them as well and give them a good environment friendly disposal.) There are over 50 million phones in the market that need to be collected and recycled.
You can drop them off at Rhea Drug Store in Hillcrest, 2801 Kavanaugh, Little Rock or send us an email by clicking on the icon above, and we will arrange to pick them up. Better yet, bring them to a meeting on Friday morning, at Baptist Medical Center and we will even buy you breakfast! Also - there is a $50 to 100 Tax Deduction per phone allowed by the IRS!
These phones are refurbished and then put back into use by missionaries, an abused women program, etc. where they can be of great service. SO... open up that kitchen drawer and get 'em to us! We would really appreciate it and the proceeds we make (approx. $3-5 per phone) stay right here in Little Rock to help out those in need.
NOTE: If your club would like to participate in starting your own program, let us know and we can assist you in getting set up as well. You can view a Drop Box Flyer by clicking on the page to the right, or download it and then modify it for your own use. Once 50 or more phones are collected, the shipping is FREE.

Rotary Credit Card
Rotary International has arranged for excellent Credit Card terms with our emblem right on the card! What is best, is that 0.5% of ALL purchases made with the card go to Rotary for programs. As you use the card, you contribute to one of the most efficient charities in the world. As of July, 2004 over $1,650,000 has been raised, in which one million dollars is earmarked for the Polio Eradication Campaign.
This is also a great tool to introduce Rotary into the conversation as one trades with merchants. They will typically comment on a relative or someone they know that is a Rotarian. Ask them to visit our club sometime...
